NeoGen EVO

NeoGen Evo Nitrogen Plasma Canberra

What is NeoGen Evo?

NeoGen EVO Canberra treatments at Inya use medical-grade nitrogen energy to support skin tightening, rejuvenation and overall skin quality.

Unlike traditional ablative resurfacing treatments, NeoGen does not vaporise or remove the surface of the skin. Instead, controlled heat is delivered through the epidermis and into the deeper skin, stimulating a natural regenerative response.

This process can support collagen and elastin remodelling while improving the overall quality, firmness and texture of the skin.

Because NeoGen does not rely on a specific skin pigment or chromophore to absorb the energy, it works differently from laser and IPL treatments.

What can NeoGen treat?

NeoGen can be used to improve a range of concerns associated with ageing and declining skin quality, including:

  • Skin laxity and loss of firmness
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Crepey skin
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Enlarged pores
  • Sun-damaged appearance
  • Fine lines around the mouth
  • Upper and lower eye-area skin
  • Neck and décolletage
  • Overall skin quality and resilience

NeoGen can be particularly useful where the aim is to improve the structure and quality of the skin rather than simply treating one isolated concern.

Low, Mixed or High Energy NeoGen

One of the advantages of NeoGen is that treatment does not need to follow a single fixed protocol.

At Inya, the energy level is selected according to your skin, treatment area, goals and acceptable recovery time.

Low Energy NeoGen

Lower-energy treatments are generally chosen when the aim is gradual improvement in skin quality, texture and regeneration with relatively little downtime.

These treatments are commonly performed as a series and may be suitable for clients wanting progressive improvement without a more noticeable recovery period.

Typical visible recovery is approximately 1–3 days of mild redness, warmth or dryness.

Mixed Energy NeoGen

Different energy levels can also be used during the same treatment.

For example, a lower energy may be used across much of the face while higher energies are selected for areas where more targeted remodelling is appropriate, such as around the eyes or mouth.

This allows the treatment to be tailored rather than treating every area of the face in exactly the same way.

High Energy NeoGen

Higher-energy NeoGen is used when greater skin remodelling and tightening is required.

The treatment produces a stronger regenerative response and therefore involves more visible recovery.

Depending on the treatment performed, redness, bronzing, dryness and a visible grid-like pattern can occur before the skin gradually sheds and settles.

Visible recovery is generally around 5–7 days, although this varies from person to person and according to the energy used.

High-energy NeoGen at Inya requires a consultation before treatment so that your skin, medical history, expectations and recovery period can be properly assessed.

NeoGen for the eye area

The skin around the eyes is one of the areas in which NeoGen can be particularly useful.

Treatment can be used to improve fine lines, crepey texture and skin laxity around the upper and lower eye area.

Energy levels are carefully selected according to the individual and may differ from those used across the rest of the face.

Eye-area treatment can also be incorporated into a mixed-energy full-face NeoGen treatment when appropriate.

What does NeoGen feel like?

The sensation varies considerably depending on the energy being used and the area being treated.

Low-energy treatment is generally very manageable, while higher-energy treatment produces considerably more heat and requires appropriate preparation and comfort measures.

Before recommending treatment, we will discuss what the procedure and recovery are likely to feel like for the energy level being considered.

What happens after NeoGen

Recovery depends primarily on the energy level used.

Following a low-energy treatment, the skin may appear pink, warm or slightly dry for a few days.

Following higher-energy treatment, the skin usually becomes progressively darker or bronzed before beginning to shed. A temporary grid pattern from the treatment may also be visible.

The skin should be allowed to recover naturally and should not be picked or exfoliated.

You will be provided with specific aftercare instructions and the appropriate post-treatment products for the treatment you have received.

When will I see results?

NeoGen results develop progressively because much of the improvement comes from the skin’s own repair and remodelling response.

Some clients notice early improvements in skin texture and quality, while changes associated with collagen remodelling and firmness continue to develop over the following weeks and months.

The number of treatments required varies according to the concern being treated, the energy used and the individual response.

Some people are best suited to a series of lower-energy treatments, while others may benefit from a smaller number of higher or mixed-energy treatments.

How is NeoGen different from laser?

NeoGen is not a laser

Lasers use specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by particular targets within the skin.

NeoGen instead uses nitrogen plasma to deliver controlled thermal energy to the skin.

Neither technology is automatically better. They work differently and are suited to different concerns.

At Inya we use a number of advanced skin technologies, so NeoGen is recommended when we believe it is genuinely appropriate rather than because it is the only treatment available.

Is NeoGen right for everyone?

No.

NeoGen is an excellent treatment for the right person, but it is not automatically the best treatment for every skin concern.

Factors including your skin condition, medical history, previous treatments, desired result and willingness to accommodate downtime all influence whether NeoGen is appropriate.

Sometimes another treatment — or a combination of treatments — will be a better choice.

The purpose of your consultation is to work that out before proceeding.
