Fractional Derma Needling

Introducing MDERMA Fractional Derma Needling

What is MDERMA Fractional Derma Needling? How Does It Work?

MDERMA is from the makers of the DERMAPEN® USA and is Australia’s first fractional micro-needling device to use patented pen technologies, making it the best choice for safety, comfort, and treatment results.

Skin needling or collagen induction therapy (CIT) involves using tiny needles to create tiny holes in the top layer of the skin. The MDERMA device is made up of 12 micro-needles – the stamping action of the vertical tip creates invisible micro-injuries to the skin. This process triggers the skin’s natural healing response which stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to tighten and rejuvenate the skin.

Benefits of Fractional Derma Needling

MDERMA can help to improve the following skin conditions:

  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • sun damage
  • pigmentation
  • stretch marks
  • loose skin
  • surgical and acne scars
  • large pores

It can also improve your skin tone and texture, make your skin look brighter, and make your skincare products work better!

MDERMA is safe for all skin types and has a short treatment time with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime.

Does Derma Needling Hurt? Is There Any Downtime?

Some people may experience slight discomfort during the treatment depending on the area being treated. It is normal to experience redness or a ‘sunburnt’ appearance after a skin-needling treatment. Occasionally, there can also be pinpoint bleeding or minimal swelling.

The severity of any after-effects will vary depending on your skin type and how aggressively the treatment is performed.

How Much Does an MDERMA Treatment Cost? How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Results can be seen after just one treatment. For maximum results, we recommend a series of 3-6 treatments, of fractional derma needling, spaced 1 – 3 weeks apart.

If we a treating a more serious skin condition like acne scarring, additional treatments may be needed.

Treatments for the face start at $250 (extra charges apply for neck and décolletage). Packages are also available if you wish to purchase a series of treatments. Just ask your Inya skin therapist!
